taenga
1. (noun) arrival.
Ko ia tētahi o ngā ihorei rongonui o taua rohe i te taenga tuatahi atu o ngā Pākehā ki Te Tai Rāwhiti (TTR 1990:111). / He was one of the famous leaders of that district when Pākehā first arrived on the East Coast.
Nō te taenga mai o ētahi Pākehā hou, ka hoatu kia rua pū mō te tana whītau, kotahi rānei pū, me te waipāta paura me ngā matā (TP 7/1900:11). / When some new Pākehā arrived, they gave two guns for a ton of flax fibre, or one gun together with a powder flask and bullets.

haramai
1. (verb) (-tia) to come, arrive - a variation of haere mai. However it should be regarded as a separate word able to take a passive ending and derived noun ending (i.e. -tanga).
Kāore a Kupe i haramai i runga i ngā waka nei (TPH 27/3/1905:4). / Kupe did not come on these canoes.
Ko te waiata nei he whakautu nā Irihāpeti Rangiteapakura i te tono a Toihau, he kupu tuku noa mai i te takiwā, kāore i haramaitia ā-tinanatia; koia te ‘pare ā-waha’ (M 2004:20). / This song was Irihāpeti Rangiteapakura's reply to Toihau's proposal, which was sent through the air and not made in person, it was just empty words.

Mai rā anō i te orokotaenga o te Pākehā ki Aotearoa, kua tīkina noatia atu e te Māori he kupu Pākehā, me te whakawhiti ki ngā oro o te reo Māori (HJ 2015:80). / Right since the first arrival of the Pākehā to Aotearoa/New Zealand, Māori have comonly taken English words and adapted them to the sounds of the Māori language.

tae ā-tinana
1. (verb) to arrive in person, attend in person.
Mō te hunga e pāngia ana e te mate, ā, i kore ai e tae ā-tinana tonu mai kia mahia e Hōri, kōrero ā-waea noa atu ai ia ki a rātau (TTR 1998:49). / For those who were ill but could not attend in person to be treated by Hōri, it was sufficient for him to talk to them by telephone.
