1. (verb) (-ngia,-tia,-a) to get on, embark, board (a vessel), mount (horses, vehicles, etc.) - a number of people.
Kua eke katoa ngā pāhihi kei runga poti. Kei te ekeeke hoki te kāpene me ngā hēramana ināianei (TP 10/1909:9). / All the passengers have boarded the boat. Now the captain and the sailors are boarding.
2. (verb) (-a,-ngia) to have sex, copulate, have sexual intercourse, mount.
Ka tahuri te toa mā muri ekeeke ai i te uwha (PK 2008:57) / The ram turned to mount the ewe from the back.
