1. (verb) to be set in place, fixed, placed, settled - a passive form of whakanoho.

Hei whakahoki kōrero mā ngā iwi hokihoki ki ō rātou rohe ā tōna wā, ka whakanōhia ko Hōri Pukehika rāua ko Te Rangi Hīroa hei kaitiaki i te taha parukore, whakakaupapa ai hoki i ngā tikanga (TTR 1996:147). / To set the standards for participants to take back to their tribal areas, Hōri Pukehika and Peter Buck were put in charge of the sanitary arrangements that were planned.
