whakakōpura
1. (verb) (-tia) to shine, dazzle.
Ka kī hei tāna ka huaki. Ko Pipito, ka whakahua i tana haka: Ka whakakōpura rua a Rangi-hape, teina o Tūpeteka (K 1993:19). / He says at his haka they should attack. Then Pipito rises and recites his haka: Behold the lightning flash of Hape, the younger brother of Tūpeteka (K 1993:20).
