1. (verb) to be eager, keen, enthusiastic.

Tino mīharo tonu nei a Rongowhakaata ki ngā mahi tākaro, rikarika ana ia ki te tākaro korowha (TTR 1998:58). / Rongowhakaata had a great interest in sport and he was a very keen golfer.
