1. (verb) (-a,-na,-ngia) to enter, go in, join - of a number of separate people or times.

Tatū rawa iho ki te tau 1966, e 38 ōrau o ngā kaimahi kākahu, pūweru hoki, he Māori i kuhukuhu ki ngā uniana (Te Ara 2016). / By 1966 38% of the clothing and textile workers were Māori who had joined the unions.
