Kīhai te hui i whakahaeretia, nā te mea ka takahia te kawa o te marae e ngā manuhiri, he takahinga i whakaarohia e muheni ana i te mana o te Kīngi (TTR 1996:228). / The meeting did not take place because the protocols of the marae were trampled on by the visitors, a breach considered to be a slight to the King's mana.
