mitipoa

Kātahi ka hurihia ngā poti. Nō te huringa kātahi ka pīkaua taku poti ki runga ki tō Īhaka, me te mea e hāporoa ana i waenganui o te mitipoa (TWMNT 1/12/1874:304). / Then the boats were overturned. When this happened my boat was carried on top of that of Īhaka, it was as if the boat was being cut in two in the centre near the midship oar.
