1. (verb) (-na) to meet, close, shut, block.

I ahu rātau mā Waikaremoana ki te whakarau i te hunga e peia haeretia ana e wērā o ngā poupoutahi. Tūtakitaki rawa atu rātau ki Ruatāhuna (TTR 1990:384). / They headed via Waikaremoana to capture the people who had been displaced by those columns. They met at Ruatāhuna.
