Ka whakaekengia (mahia) ngā tūtū, hei patu kākā, engari e tīmoritia ana tō te kākā tūtū, ki te mōkai kākā, hei whakangē (ngāngā, karanga) kia rere mai ai ētahi atu kākā (JPS 1895:135). / The man ascends to the bird snaring tree to kill kākā, but with his decoy kākā, he causes the pet bird to call out, to entice the other kākā to the place.
