1. (verb) to be putrid, stinking, rank.

Mō te mangō ururoa tēnei, ina mate mai ki uta, ka waiho puku tonu kia roa, ka kōhangohango (W 1971:124). / This is for the shark when it is dead on the shore and left untouched for a long time and it becomes putrid.
