renga

1. (verb) to be discoloured, turbid (of water).

Ka āwhā a konei, ka renga te wai o te awa. / When there's a storm here, the water of the river is discoloured.

2. (verb) to be yellow, light coloured.

Kia renga te kiri o te panana, kua reka te kiko o roto (PK 2008:766). / When the skin of the banana is yellow, the flesh inside is sweet.

3. (noun) fine particles, meal, pulp, pollen.

Ka horoia atu te renga e mau nei ki ngā karihi (W 1971:336). / The pulp attached to the stones was washed off.
