1. (noun) a type of insect.

Ko āna kupu ēnei, "Kei mahara iho koe ki te umu i taona ai e koe aku tamariki, ahakoa muia tō rātou umu e te papakura, ko te tae atu anō ahau ki Kaiapoi." (TP 3/1913:7). / These were his words, "You should remember the oven where you cooked my children, although their oven is swarmed over by insects, I will arrive again at Kaiapoi."
