Ka ngare te tangata nei i tana tamāhine kia haere ki runga ki te waka kia riro ki Aotea, ngare noa, kīhai hoki i rongo, ka hoi a Te Kahu-rere-moa (NM 1928:120). / This man urged his daughter to go on the canoe to be taken to Aotea, but despite his persistence she did listen, Te Kahu-rere-moa refused to go.
