1. (verb) (-tia) to annoy, bother, irritate (someone), pester.

Kaua mā te tokoiti te tokomaha e whakapōrearea, e pāengaenga engari ia me kimi he ara e kore ai te kōioio e kōioio! (HM 2/1999). / It's not for the minority to pester and tease the majority but a way should be sought whereby the obstinate will cease to be obstinate.
