manuheko
1. (verb) to be dirty, filthy, disreputable, unclean, soiled, grimy, nasty.
Mehemea kāore e karakiatia e kore e oti te moko, ahakoa tāne, wahine rānei, heoi anō manuheko tonu atu, kāore e pai ki te titiro atu (TPH 27/2/1905:3). / If ritual chants are not performed the moko will not be completed, whether a man or woman, and so it will be nasty and not pleasant to look at.
