1. (noun) karo, Pittosporum crassifolium, Pittosporum ralphii - small bushy trees with alternating leaves, whitish underneath. Young leaves are felted and become dark green and leathery. Flowering occurs in spring and early summer when the dark red flowers appear in clusters. Seed capsules are a rough round shape, splitting open to reveal shiny black seeds.
