inukorokoro
1. (verb) to be indolent, lackadaisical, inactive.

My reply is, "Because they later became indolent and just wanted to be lazy."
2. (modifier) indolent, lackadaisical, inactive.
Me uaua ka kite i a ia i tōna kāinga e noho inukorokoro ana. I te nuinga o te wā kei tana pāmu e mahi ana. / It's rare to see him at home sitting around. Most of the time he's on his farm working.
3. (noun) lazy person, idler, loafer, shirker, slacker, malingerer, lazybones.
He inukorokoro ia, arā he tangata karo mahi, he māngere, heoi anō te mahi ka pahure i a ia, ko te kai. / He's a malingerer, in other words he's a person who avoids work, is lazy and all he's good for is eating.
