1. (verb) to be affected with a headache, have a headache.

Ka uru ana te purapura o te mate nei ki roto i te tangata, e toru ki te rima rā i muri mai ka hinga te tūroro. Ngā tohu: he kirikā, he ngāruru, he mamae ki te tuarā, he ruaki (TTT 1/5/1922:9). / Three to five days after a person becomes infected the victim becomes ill. The symptoms are: a fever, headaches, back pain and vomiting.
