wā kāinga
1. (noun) distant home, true home, home, home base - sometimes written as one word, i.e. wākāinga.

Then he looked at the sun rising on the horizon of the Pacific Ocean and the love for his home, for Hawaiki, suddenly overcame Tū-rāhui.
