Kaua e tuhatuha haere, engari me tuha ki roto i tētahi ipu, pounamu rānei (KO 11/1920:6). / Don't spit all over the place, but expectorate into a container or a bottle.

Ka tū ngā tuari ki te tuha i taua kai ki ngā tāngata o te hui (TW 19/1/1878:33). / The waiters stood up to distribute the food to the people of the gathering.

3. (verb) (-ina) to ejaculate, emit semen.

Ina rongo te hiahia ki te ai, ka rere te toto, ka tora te ure (arā, ka tū) e taea ai te kuhu ki te tara o te wahine. Ka tuhaina, ka whakawhitia he tātea ki te tara (RP 2009:383). / When the desire to have sexual intercourse is felt, the blood flows, and when the penis become erect it is able to enter the vagina of the woman. When semen is ejaculated it is transferred to the vagina.
