Ka tāmia ngā auporo, ka tahuri ngā kaimahi ki te ara tōrangapū (Te Ara 2015). / A strike was held in the gold-mining town of Waihī in 1912, and in 1913 was the strike of the wharf-labourers. The strikes were crushed, and the workers turned their attention to the political route.
