1. (verb) (-tia) to broadcast, make widely known, announce, disseminate, transmit.

Nō te ata o te Paraire, 18 o Āperira ka huri, ka pāho te reo, "E! ko Arihia Ngata tēnei ka takoto i te moenga roa (TTT 1/5/1929:991)." / On the morning of Friday, 18 April just passed, it was broadcast, "Arihia Ngata has died."
