Hei tauira, ko te kāhuarau o te punua poraka hei poraka; ko te kāhuarau o te anuhe hei pūrerehua (RP 2009:231). / Metamorphosis is a biological process where the appearance of an animal changes. The tissues of the animal undergo major reconstruction. Examples include the metamorphosis of a tadpole to a frog, and a caterpillar to a butterfly (RP 2009:231).
