Ka whakaingoahia ngā tira puoro ki te tokomaha o ngā kaiwhakatangitangi, o ngā kaiwaiata rānei. Arā, he whakaputanga takitahi mēnā kotahi te tangata. He tōrua mēnā he tokorua, he tōtoru mēnā he tokotoru, he tōwhā, he tōrima ētahi o ngā momo rōpū (RTP 2015:107). / A musical group is named according to how many players or singers there are. That is, it's a solo performance if there's only one person. It's a duet if there are two people, a trio if there are three, and some types of groups are quartets and quintets.
