1. (modifier) resounding, reverberating - usually follows whaitiri.

Kīhai i roa ka kī te waha o Rangipōpō ki te tangi iho ki a Taharākau, he whaitiri paorangi (JPS 1913:62). / It was not long before Rangipōpō called to Taharākau in reverberating thunder.
