1. (verb) to be naked, scantily clad.

E kīia ana he pakiwhara, he iwi kore kahu, ko ngā wāhine moe tāne he paki aroaro nei ō rātau; ko ngā kōhine takakau he haere tahanga noa iho, me ngā tāne (JPS 1928:188). / It is said that they were scantily clad, a people having no clothing; the married women wore an apron covering the front; the single girls and the men just went naked.
