1. (noun) māhoe, whiteywood, Melicytus ramiflorus - a common tree in regrowth and coastal bush. Has alternating, pointed, oval leaves with teeth. Tiny flowers are abundant in spring and are followed by numerous bright blue-purple to dark purple berries.
