1. (noun) variety of harakeke from Hawke's Bay. Very tall, up to 3 m. Overall bush has a pinkish bronze appearance, as the young leaves have crimson coloured veining along the bronze leaf. Red margin and keel. Rather coarse fibre good for whāriki, kete, pīkau and pōtae.
