(TTT 1/5/1929:989). / At the last meeting of the Māori Council delegates the following motion was passed: "Because this is the first meeting of the Māori Council delegates since Sir Āpirana Ngata was appointed Minister of Native Affairs, this meeting wants to send best wishes to him for gaining this prestigious achievement."
