I te hui whakamutunga a ngā taraketi o te Kaunihera Māori, i pāhitia te mōtini e whai ake nei: "I te mea ko te hui tuatahi tēnei a ngā taraketi o te Kaunihera Māori mai o te whakatūnga i a Tā Āpirana Ngata hei Minita mō te Taha Māori, e hiahia ana tēnei hui ki te tuku mihi ki a ia mō te ekenga ki tēnei taumata hōnore." (TTT 1/5/1929:989). / At the last meeting of the Māori Council delegates the following motion was passed: "Because this is the first meeting of the Māori Council delegates since Sir Āpirana Ngata was appointed Minister of Native Affairs, this meeting wants to send best wishes to him for gaining this prestigious achievement."
