3. (modifier) coarse-grained (of a grindstone).
Mā te hōanga matanui e tika ai te mata o te whao, mā te hōanga matarehu e whakakoi (RTA 2014:90). / The coarse-grained grindstone will straighten the edge of the chisel, the fine-grained grindstone will sharpen it.
