Ka kino ōna moko, tapā tōna ingoa Moko-hikuwaru (W 1971:50). / His moko was badly done so he was named Moko-hikuwaru (Lopsided tattoo).

Ka whakamahia te kupu 'hikuwaru' mō te taparau kāore e rite ana te roa o ōna tapa katoa, he rerekē rānei te rahi o tētahi o ngā koki. Ka kīia he tapatoru hikuwaru (TRP 2010:117). / The word 'hikuwaru' is used to describe a polygon in which not all sides are equal in length, or at least one angle is different in size. It is called an irregular polygon (TRP 2010:117).
