1. (verb) (-tia) to tweet, twitter.

Kua hanga riri te poari i te mea ko te take e tika ana kia noho matatapu, kua tīhautia ki te tī, ki te tā (HJ 2015:233). / The board is a little angry because the matter should rightly be confidential, but it has been tweeted all over the place.


2. (noun) twittering, tweeting, chirping.

Kurupākara ana tērā te māra a Tāne i te pekī, i te tīhau a ngā manu (HM 1/1998:1). / The garden of Tāne is noisy with the chirping and twittering of the birds.


3. (noun) tweet - a short text message sent on Twitter.
