2. (modifier) bright (of colours), tightly, fast, intensely - follows and intensifies colour words, including white.

Pēnei i a tātou nei, moe ai te āhuruhuru i te pō. Ko te mea rerekē i a tātou, ka huri whero kitakita tō rātou tae ina moe ana rātou (TWK 36:11). / Like us, the goatfish sleeps at night. The thing that is different from us is that their colour turns bright red when they are sleeping.
