Māmā: E tama! Kaua hei whiuwhiu kōwhatu. (Ka pakaru te wini o te whare o Mr Jones.) Tama: Māmā! I kowhete mai a Mr Jones i ahau. Māmā: E nge! Ka kīia atu! (HKKT 2011:7). / Mum: Son! Don't throw stones. (The window of Mr Jones's house is broken.) Son: Mum! Mr Jones scolded me. Mum: Serves you right! I told you!
