1. compound word.

Kia noho mai te whaka- i mua i te kupu pūhui, me tuhi tonu hei kupu kotahi ki te mārama tonu te tikanga o te kupu (hei tauira, whakatangatawhenua, whakamanawanui) (NTT 2012:8). / Where the causative whaka- prefixes a compound word, the word must be written as a single word if the meaning of the word is quite clear (e.g. whakatangatawhenua, whakamanawanui).
