Matekiri ngātahi ana a Love rāua ko Tirikātene i te korenga i whakamanatia o ēnei rōpū kia tū mana motuhake, whakanōhia kētia mai ana i raro i te maru o te Tari Māori (TTR 2000:109). / Both Love and Tirikātene were disappointed that these organisations were not made self-governing, but were instead brought under the aegis of the Department of Māori Affairs.
