Nō muri i te matenga o Mahuta i te tau 1912, ka nekehia te Kauhanganui ki te pā o Rukumoana, he kāinga kei kō paku mai i Mōrena (TTR 1994:95). / After the death of Mahuta in 1912 the Kauhanganui was moved to Rukumoana pā, a village just beyond Morrinsville.
