ngākaurua
1. (verb) to be uncertain, ambivalent, in two minds, wavering, vacillating, undecided.

Nā ērā mahi ka ngākaurua a Taukē ki te Whakapono (TTR 1990:163). / At Parihaka in 1881, Taukē saw the soldiers searching for guns and destroying the property of Māori homes. Because of those activities Tauke wavered in his Christian faith.

mānenei
1. (verb) to waver, hesitate, vacillate, dither, fluctuate.
Ko tōu nā pai kāore nei he paku mānenei, he paku horokukū mai ōu, engari uru mai ana, mahia ana te mahi (HM 4/2009:3) / Your good quality was that you did not vacillate or show the slightest reluctance, but you participated and did the task.
tītakataka
1. (verb) to turn over and over, move about irregularly, wobble, flit about.
Nā, kia mōhio tātou, ko ngā tīwaiwaka e tītakataka nei ka hura rā hoki ngā hukumaro ki runga, ka riro ko te upoko ki raro (TTT 1/10/1929:1086). / Now, we should know that fantails flit about opening their tail feathers up and with their head going down.
